Approach

As a counsellor, I work from a trauma-informed, strengths-based lens - collaboratively defining your goals with you and plotting the path towards emotional wellbeing.

We all have unique strengths and life experiences, and I believe that we all have the potential for therapeutic healing and personal growth.

In the counselling process, I center your experience and knowledge, tailoring the process, frameworks, and tools, to each individual. I draw from a range of therapeutic techniques and modalities, including narrative exploration, mindfulness, attachment theory, somatic movement, and compassionate inquiry.

I welcome the opportunity to support you in your journey towards emotional well-being, and I will hold space for you with compassion, clarity, acceptance, and empathy.

"The place of true healing is a fierce place. It's a giant place. It's a place of monstrous beauty and endless dark and glimmering light. And you have to work really, really, really hard to get there, but you can do it."

Healing is not linear.

The work is ongoing and the path meanders through big breakthroughs and quiet moments as we overcome each obstacle, integrate the learnings, and keep showing up for ourselves.

Stillness…

Sometimes what is needed is a compassionate, listening ear to hold space and provide warmth, safety and stability while we weather the storm happening around us.

Growth…

Sometimes the goal is clear and what’s needed is encouragement, clarity and wayfinding to be able to focus on movement and forward motion.
