I offer counselling to adults - individually or in relationship - who need some support exploring the issues they are facing, finding clarity in areas of struggle, and working towards emotional and mental wellbeing.

Areas of practice

  • Anxiety & stress
  • Trauma
  • Depression & Burnout
  • Relationships & attachment issues
  • Career
  • Life Purpose, Transitions and Identity
  • Sexuality
  • Grief & loss
  • Self-esteem and confidence

Individual Counselling

One-on-one compassionate care

Sharing your vulnerable self with a stranger can be daunting, but as we build a relationship, our sessions become a confidential, non-judgmental space to explore difficult experiences and emotions. We'll work collaboratively to identify your goals for counselling — though it's completely okay if you don't know what those look like yet. Sometimes there are layers of emotion and experience waiting to be released before we can discover what lies beneath.

Individual counselling can help with:

  • Anxiety, depression, or burnout
  • Trauma processing
  • Life transitions and relationships
  • Grief and emotional wellbeing
  • Loneliness and reconnecting with others

If you have a specific goal, therapy can help remove obstacles and coach you there. Individual sessions can also support additional processing alongside relationship counselling.

Modalities include: Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Narrative Therapy; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT); and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Sessions are 50 or 80 minutes, available in person at both clinics, online, or as a walk near your chosen clinic.

Relationship Counselling

Unbiased guidance to help you reconnect and strengthen your relationship

Relationship counselling comes in many forms, and I welcome all people and relationship structures — LGBTQ+, transgender, non-binary, gender non-conforming, ethically non-monogamous, polyamorous, and cross-cultural. I also extend this offer to adults in non-romantic relationships, whether within a family system or otherwise.

Areas relationship counselling can help with:

  • Deepening connection and improving communication
  • Managing and de-escalating conflict
  • Repairing ruptures and rebuilding trust
  • Moving through transitions or big life changes
  • Values alignment and intimacy
  • Identifying and breaking stuck cycles and patterns

Sessions focus on shared goals, giving each person space to be heard in a neutral, supportive environment — without bias toward either party. Because more people are involved, relationship counselling is naturally more complex than individual therapy and may take more time. To help with scheduling, consider booking multiple sessions in advance or opting for 80-minute sessions. The therapist may also recommend individual sessions alongside couples work for a fuller picture of the dynamics at play.

Modalities used include Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

Sessions are 50 or 80 minutes, available in person or online through Local Health Integrative Clinic.

Modalities

Walk & Talk
Therapy Sessions

Walk & talk therapy is a way of taking the therapeutic benefit of talk therapy outside, combining it with fresh air and movement in the vicinity of the clinic.

EMDR
Therapy

Eye-movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy is an evidence-based therapy that uses bi-lateral stimulation to re-process traumatic and distressing events.

ICBC
Support

ICBC covers counselling for individuals experiencing psychological or emotional distress following a motor vehicle accident, with automatic pre-approval for 12 sessions.

CVAP (Crime Victim Assistance Program)

The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) provides financial support for people impacted by violent crime in BC.

IFS (Internal
Family Systems)

IFS explores the different “parts” of your inner world — the protectors, the wounded parts, and the Self at the centre.

EFT (Emotion
Focused Therapy)

EFT helps individuals and couples access, understand, and transform emotions at the root of distress and disconnection.
