In one-on-one counselling we will work together to untangle the uncomfortable thoughts and emotions that are causing distress, find clarity in areas of struggle, and work towards emotional and mental wellbeing.
Relationships come in many forms. I welcome couples as well as polyamorous and non-traditional relationships for support in managing conflict, improving communication, and help seeing eye-to-eye.
I work from a trauma-informed, strengths-based lens, collaboratively defining your goals with you and plotting the path towards emotional wellbeing. I center your experience and knowledge in the therapeutic process, tailoring the approach to each individual but drawing from a range of techniques and modalities. These include narrative exploration, mindfulness, attachment theory, somatic movement, and compassionate inquiry.
It’s pronounced like Meghan. My pronouns are she/her. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) licensed through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University.
I have always felt drawn to working with people in a healing profession, but my career path first drew me towards working with technology in the corporate world for many years. There I learned many skills such as mentoring, goal-setting, navigating work relationships, and managing work-life balance that I continue to use, but I also underwent a deep process of re-connecting with my values and authentic self that has built my self-awareness and supported my lived experience of working through life’s transitions. I became passionate about helping people feel supported holistically and able to gain a greater sense of ease in the world, which led to clinical counselling and similar volunteer work. All of this helps me support you.
Now my work focuses on connecting with people and helping them holistically with situations and behaviours that are no longer serving them.
